Read Receipts is a free Mac app from ARKHIVE that reads your iMessage history on your own Mac and shows you what is hiding in it: plans to sort out, promises you made, people to follow up with, what is new with your friends, and the story of any relationship, including your own.
A free Mac app that reads your iMessage history on your Mac and shows you what is in it: the plans you made in passing, the things you said you would do, what is going on with the people you care about, and the story of any relationship. It finds what you would never find by scrolling.
Search only finds what you already know to look for. Read Receipts connects texts across different chats. It can notice that Saturday has three plans and none are confirmed, or that two friends who never met both want to learn to sail, even though no single message says so.
Read Receipts runs on a Mac. If your iPhone messages sync to your Mac through Messages in iCloud, it sees those conversations too.
Yes. Group chats are where a lot of plans start and stall, so it reads them alongside one-on-one conversations.
Your messages are read on your own Mac. AI only sees a conversation when you ask for a read or a story, and names, phone numbers and emails are removed before anything leaves. What is sent is not stored, not sold, and not used to train AI.
No. Read Receipts only reads. It cannot send a message, delete one, or change anything in Messages.
A Mac with Apple Silicon running macOS 15.5 or later. When you open it, you give it access to your Messages and your Contacts, so conversations match the people you know.
Read Receipts is free to download and use.
